1977 (band)

First formed in 2004 after Kendall stumbled into songwriting while trying to teach herself the organ part to The Beach Boys' song "California Girls",〔 the band released its self-titled debut album in 2009.〔 The album was a shortlisted Juno Award nominee for Adult Alternative Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2010.〔("Michael Bublé leads Juno Awards nominations" ).
